TRACAB - uncovering sports DNA
TRACAB is the world leading company in creating real-time digital sports data and in turn converting the data into powerful content products for sports fans. Using patented image processing technology developed by our shareholder SAAB, TRACAB is able to capture all movements in a sports arena in real-time.
The captured data is packaged into different media products for different platforms such as broadband, broadcast, print and mobile. It is made available to the consumer both in real-time and in post-production.
The technology is well proven and is used by several national football leagues and European and international high-level competitions. Since 2005, the TRACAB system has been used in over 3,000 live matches across the globe.
Background
TRACAB was started as a development project early in 2003 by the three founding partners Hego AB, a TV production, software and graphics company, Egnus International, a private investment company and SAAB AB, with the aim of creating a system capable of delivering real-time positioning of objects in a sports arena.

Tracab is owned by the founding partners and the venture capital company Provider Venture Partners.
