TRACAB in “Allsvenskan”
TRACAB will, in agreement with Svenska Fotbollförbundet (the Swedish FA) and Föreningen Svensk Elitfotboll (the Swedish League), use the TRACAB Image Tracking System in “Allsvenskan” starting this season.
Real-time positioning data such as distance covered by players and teams, ball speed, and heat maps will be available from all games.
The data captured will be used to create different kinds of media products for broadband, TV, mobile handsets and other media outlets.
For broadband, TRACAB has entered into an agreement with Sweden’s biggest evening paper Aftonbladet. TRACAB will provide their website (www.aftonbladet.se) with an extensive broadband application that the sports fans can use both before, during and after each game in Allsvenskan.

“Sweden is in the forefront regarding adoption of technology and also in broadband penetration”, says Mr. Johan Apel, President & Executive Director of TRACAB, “We think it will be very interesting to explore what we can achieve here in Sweden with our strong partners both from football and from the media” Mr. Apel added.
